This work aims to clarify the relationship between inflation, unemployment and population growth on poverty rates in Algeria based on various literature and studies on this subject.

where the autoregressive distributed time lag model (ARDL) was adopted to analyze the effect of the explanatory variables on the growth of per capita final household consumption expenditures as an approximate indicator of poverty.

the study concluded that there is a long-term equilibrium relationship, and the results showed that the index of per capita gross domestic product, unemployment rate and inflation have a positive and significant effect on the level of poverty in the short term.
