تعتبر المخطوطات من أهم عناصر التراث الأثري المنقول، و لكونها الوعاء الحافظ للنتاج العقلي و الفكري للمسلمين و ما نقلوه من معارف و علوم الأمم السابقة، فقد أولاها القدماء العناية اللازمة و أجادوا في تطوير الكتابة و إرساء قواعد فن الخط العربي، فازدهرت صناعة الكتاب و انتشرت المكتبات و دور الوراقة خاصة بعد التمكن من صناعة الورق.
و باعتبار الكتاب المخطوط ظاهرة ثقافية نشأت و تطورت عبر التاريخ جمعت جهود المؤلفين من أدباء و علماء و فلاسفة و جمعت خبرات أصحاب الصنعة و المهارات المختلفة، من الحرفيين و الخطاطين و الفنانين في منظومة ثقافية و اقتصادية شملت أقطار العالم الإسلامي.
و لا يختلف علماء الآثار في نظرتهم إلى المخطوط مع المهتمين بعلم المخطوطات، فكل مخطوط يمثل معلما أثريا مستقلا بمكوناته المادية و المعنوية، و ما أحاط بها ظروف و تأثيرات عبر الزمن.
Abstract EN
Manuscripts are one of the most important elements of the movable archaeological heritage, and because they are the preserved vessel for the mental and intellectual production of Muslims and the knowledge and sciences of previous nations, the ancients gave them the necessary care and excelled in developing writing and laying the foundations of the art of Arabic calligraphy, so libraries spread, especially after mastering the paper industry.
the manuscript is a cultural and civilizational phenomenon that has arisen and developed throughout history, bringing together the efforts of authors, and the experiences of craftsmen, calligraphers, and artists, in a comprehensive cultural and economic system.
