The national public museum of antiquities in Algiers maintains rich collections of coins to the roman civilization, which allow researchers in archeology and students of ancient civilizations to derive different and very important archaeological and historical facts and information, especially those related to the economic aspect, by direct and applied study on coins and comparing the data and information found on it with the ancient written texts in order to understand the economic conditions and conditions of the roman civilization and its path since the beginning of the imperial era and what the monetary currencies became at the end of the roman empire.
