Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the relationship between students' attitudes towards distance education and both self-efficacy expectations and intrinsic motivation.

the study sample consisted of (170) male and female students studying at the faculty of social sciences and humanities, relizane university (Algeria).

the researcher used the descriptive analytical method.

the researcher used questionnaire of attitudes towards distance education, self-efficacy expectations scale prepared by schwarzer and Jerusalem, and and intrinsic motivation scale designed by Lepper (2005).

the study concluded that the attitudes of education and psychology faculty students in relizane university towards e-learning were positive and a statistically significant relationship was found between students' attitudes towards distance education and intrinsic motivation (R = 0.27), while the results did not show a relationship with expectations of self-efficacy.

there were also statistically significant differences in the attitudes towards distance education attributed to academic specialization in favour of social sciences and of education sciences.

some recommendations and suggestions were listed.
