Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the contribution of both the public and private health sectors and study their impact in improving health services to achieve human development in Algeria, using the descriptive and analytical approach.

The study found that the contribution of the private sector is weak in terms of financial capabilities (the rate of hospital bed coverage) and that there is a competitive relationship between them in terms of attracting human resources, which affected the quality of services provided in both sectors, which does not reflect the size of the efforts made and the spending allocated to them.
