This study attempts to highlight theories of male dominance in Algerian society through a form of Algerian folk heritage-popular ideals-and put them on the test of experience.

by engaging on a wide range of Algerian people's codified ideals derived from the collective memory of the community, in order to achieve objective results that reflect the true relationship between women and men by highlighting the neglected aspect of popular ideals that address the nature of the gender relationship.
