Abstract EN

The objective of this study is to determine the role of domestic and foreign direct investments in improving employment rates in Algeria from 2001 to 2018, by applying the auto-regressive distributed lag (ARDL) model and by using the following variables : domestic and foreign direct investments as independent variables and employment rates as a dependent variable.

our empirical results show a significant positive impact for domestic and foreign direct investments on employment rates in the short term, which confirms that this investments increase employment rates, but did not reach the desired results, which need more support by realizing more adjustments and stimulus for these investments.
