This research is part of the studies on the main valleys of the Aurès.
We sought to study the architectural character of traditional rural houses of Ighzer Amellal, to present the diversity that characterized them.
The old typology classified the houses according to the criteria of grouping or separation of the houses (ADJALI Samia, 1986): villages: with grouped houses, with separate houses and houses with Saharan characteristics.
From our investigation, through documentation, or during our outings, we think that the typology of traditional rural houses of Ighzer Amellal, in order to be more objective, must take into consideration more criteria, as well take into account not only the altitude in the valleys of the Aurès, but also the aspect of ease or economic deficiency, which have greatly contributed in influencing the logic of the former builder

Cette recherche s'inscrit dans le cadre des études sur les principales vallées des Aurès.
Nous avons cherché à étudier le caractère architectural des maisons rurales traditionnelles, le long d'IghzerAmellal, afin de présenté la diversité qui les caractérises.
L'ancienne typologie des villages des vallées de l'Aurès, classifiait les maisons en ce basant sur les critères de regroupement ou de séparation des habitations (ADJALI Samia, 1986): villages a maisons groupées; des villages a maisons séparées; villages a maisons aux caractéristiques sahariennes.
A partir de notre investigation, par voix de documentations, ou lors de nos sorties.
Nous pensons que la typologie des maisons rurales traditionnelles d'Ighezer Amellal, pour qu'elle soit plus objective, doit prendre en considération plus de critères.
Elle doit prendre en compte, non seulement l'altitude dans les vallées des Aurès, mais aussi l'aspect d'aisance ou de carence économique, qui ont contribués à influencer la logique du constructeur ancien.
