This topic deals with the problem of the sectarian rivalry between the Malikis and the Hanafis in the countries of the Maghreb, and the tensions that resulted from it that touched the religious aspects and even extended them to the political and social life of the society of the countries of the Maghreb.

We presented the development of the relationship between the two schools.

Al-Maliki is more fortunate to spread despite his time delay, and this is due to several factors that helped in his consolidation among the inhabitants of the Islamic Maghreb.

We will present the principles of these two schools of thought, and the factors that helped their spread in Ifriqiya in particular and the rest of the Maghreb countries in general, with a presentation of the most important personalities who studied these schools, and had a role in the popularity and spread of the schools.
