Abstract EN

This study deals with the security situation in the Sahel region, focusing mainly on its types and manifestations.

The aim is to try to understand what is happening in the area geographically linked to Algeria's southern border; thus, the importance of this issue stems not only from the seriousness of the security situation itself and the threat it poses to individuals and states in this region, but, more importantly, because the effects of this reality extend beyond the geographical space of the region to the regional and even global scale.

The study concludes that the security threat - in the African Sahel region - has many forms and parties, and that these parties do not hesitate - in many cases - to cooperate and collaborate with each other in order to achieve their goals and interests.
