This research tackles a statue base of gray granite, which was found during the excavations of the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities mission in 2017 in the city of Buto (Tell el-Fara’in - Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate).

Now, it is kept in the Tanta Regional Antiquities Museum in Gharbia Governorate under No.

(4374).

It contains a horizontal line of sunken hieroglyphic inscription that surrounds the base from all directions.

It the aim of this study is to publish, copy, translate and make comment on its hieroglyphic texts.

The study will specify the type of object that may represent part of a votive statue depicting its owner on his knees, embracing with his arms a statue of a deity or his sacred symbol.

This is similar to most of this type of votive statues, which was widely spread during the twenty-sixth dynasty.

Then clarify the historical value of the city of Buto or the sixth region itself, which witnessed great activity during the Saite Period, as well as its the cultural value, including important titles used in the local administration during this Period.
