The sugar industry is a significant manufacturing industry, and the problem was caused by the sugarcane crop's increased demands for land and water resources when compared to the sugar beetroot crop.

given the difficulties of changing the crop composition of sugar cane cultivation in the south of the valley in the short and medium term to provide what sugar factories require from cane, improving the efficiency of sugar production in sugar cane factories to maximize the use of cane produced is required.

the research seeks to investigate the current production condition of sugar plants in Egypt using sugar cane and to determine the most critical elements influencing productivity in order to improve operational efficiency and maximum benefit.

the variables impacting the operating efficiency and the amount of sugar produced per day of operation for cane sugar processing facilities were studied using cross-sectional data for eight cane sugar production plants from 2016 to 2021.
