Abstract EN

Since human curiosity began to move towards knowing man as a cultural being governed by cognitive, social and civilization frameworks, many researches and studies emerged.

Among these researches and studies, anthropology was shaped as an epistemological trend that tried to approach man historically, naturally, socially and culturally.

Ethnology emerged as a trend that discovers the self through the other.

Cultural anthropology emerged as a theory that attempted to interpret the cultural products of man.

Contemporary criticism theory benefited from this intellectual achievement.

The anthropological criticism approach emerged as a critical trend that considered literature a discursive manifestation of culture.

This led to two important questions: To what extent can ethnology be separated from anthropology? And, what are the boundaries between them? This study comes to examine the possibility of separating them by examining the premises and components of each of them.
