All heavenly religions and man-made laws have gave a special attention to the child, as he is regarded as the cornerstone upon which society is built, as he is the weakest link and most vulnerable to the possibility of deviation in his behavior on the one hand, and the most affected by human rights violations on the other.

As a result, we find that most international and local legislation, including Algerian legislation, has given special attention to children, employing the most important rules and procedures in its criminal policy to ensure that children are treated according to their age group, whether during investigation or trial, in order to ensure their rights and protection.
