Abstract EN

The current paper dwells about a prominent scientific figure, whose name was carved in gold in Medina during the 8H century (14AD), being a symbol of education, judicial knowledge and leadership: Abu Muhammad Abdulla bin Muhammad Farhoun who died in769 H (1364 AD).

He was a prominent imam with undeniable knowledge of Fiqh, interpretation and hadith.

He mastered the Arabic language and had written a variety of meticulous productions.

As a matter of fact, his achievements in Medina were a testimony of his highly regarded position as he ended up being a leader there.

He started as a teacher in the Shehabiya school where he taught and preached the Maliki sect.

He later on took up the role of a judge for over 24 years and was a servant of the Prophet's mosque for more than 50 years.

He was also credited for fighting the Imami Shiites and reviving the Maliki doctrine in Medina after its decay.

He is indeed a figure worthy of study and research.
