Freedom-depriving penalties are sometimes not sufficient alone to reform the convicts, so a policy has been developed to combat the disadvantages of these penalties, by introducing what is known as the electronic bracelet, which has been adopted by many criminal legislation, including the Algerian legislation, so this study came to show the extent of the effectiveness of the electronic bracelet in reforming the justice sector And reforming offenders, and as an alternative to the disadvantages of freedom-depriving punishments.

as we conclude through this research paper in which the descriptive and analytical approaches were used, that the legislator's adoption of this system was the result of the shortcomings of judicial oversight in its classical forms, and it has met with success in the midst of criminal legislation.
