Abstract EN

This research work aims to empirically verify the nature of the relationship between income inequality measured by the GINI index and population health measured by life expectancy at birth in a sample of 16 middle and low income countries during the period (2002-2018) using the static panel data models estimations.

The results of estimating the fixed-effect model (FEM) as the most suitable model for the data of this study showed that income inequality has a significant negative impact on the population health.
