The Umayyad state did not enjoy what befits its military conquests and civilizational achievements.

Rather, its history was subjected to many unfairness, and few fairness, from those who wrote its history after its order had passed and its wind had gone.

Literature books are among the sources that contributed to codifying the history of the Umayyads and drawing its features.

However, relying on these books in understanding history may implant false images and misconceptions in the mind.

Writers are naturally prone to exaggeration, report most of their news from unknown and liars, and some of them quarrel with whims and fanaticism, which makes them prejudice against the Umayyads.

In order to get closer to the image of the Umayyads in the literature of the writers, the study sheds some light on the book "Alekd Alfareed" by the Andalusian writer Ibn Abd Rabbo to know his position on the Umayyads by reviewing and discussing some of the news reported about them in his aforementioned book.
