Abstract EN

This paper is part of a narrative research; it deals in particular with dialogism and historical narrative, making explicit the relationship between novel and history.

Besides, it aims to retrace the polyphonic symphony played ingeniously by the novelist AbdelWahab Aissaoui, through which many ideologically different novelistic voices and narrative characters had come together to record realistic events in an artistic narrative way parallel to fictional events, to fill the gaps left by realistic narratives.

Therefore, it worked on the sidelines and searched behind the scenes for the real reasons that led to the fall of Algeria, and for the apparent and the hidden intentions of the French campaign towards the Algerian people, through characters taking turns the role of the narrator democratically, without any unilateralism of thought, exclusion or marginalization.
