The study aims to test the effect of the big five personality factors on the number of traffic accidents in a field study of 124 drivers who committed a traffic accident, who were chosen by the method of intentional sampling.

to collect data, a research tool was used: the big five personality factor scale, the study resulted in what follows: there is a statistically significant positive effect of the neurotic factor on the number of traffic accidents, there is a statistically significant negative effect of the extraversion factor on the number of traffic accidents, there is a statistically significant positive effect of the openness to experience factor on the number of traffic accidents, there is a statistically significant positive effect of the desirability factor on the number of traffic accidents, there is statistically significant positive effect of the conscientious factor on the number of traffic accidents.
