The theatre is an art with immense socioeconomic and moral potential.
it justifies to be examined at the moment when its performance indicators indicate let-up toward it on the part of the state, the public and actors themselves (playwright, actors, directors …).
therefore, this paper analyses the Cameroonian theatrical institution from 1990 to the present day through its forms and the problems that outbreak it.
moreover, it makes proposals in order to raise this cultural institution that suffers from both intrinsic and extrinsic problems.

Le théâtre est un art au potentiel socio-économique et moral immense.
il mérite que l’on se penche sur sa situation du moment où ses «indicateurs de performance» indiquent un relâchement à son égard de la part de l’état, du public et des acteurs mêmes (dramaturges, comédiens, metteurs en scène …).
ainsi, cet article examine l’institution théâtrale camerounaise de 1990 à nos jours à travers ses formes et les problèmes qui la plombent.
bien plus, il fait des propositions dans le but de relever cette industrie culturelle qui souffre à la fois des maux intrinsèques et extrinsèques.
