After the establishment of the African union, the African union noted that there are many political, social and economic challenges, but most notably the climate challenge that African countries are not responsible for, given the attendant future risks of droughts, food and water stress and conflict in some regions, coupled with the fatigue on the capacity of governments to meet the needs of peoples, the loss of natural forest, animal and plant benefits of African countries and the impact on all human rights in education, housing and health.
