The importance of intentional ijtihad lies in the fact that it expresses the perfection of Islamic law، and that it came to achieve the interests of the taxpayers in the immediate and the future.

Moreover ، this type of ijtihad limits the purely apparent view of the legal texts in the field of jurisprudence ، which transformed Islamic jurisprudence into mere theoretical templates and rules.

Far from being linked to the purposes ، the causes ، and the legislative rule ، the purposes of ijtihad are not only a tool for its maturation and evaluation ، but also a means to expand it and enable it to absorb the areas of life with all its vicissitudes، ramifications ، and new and emerging calamities.

The research aims to find out what is meant by intentional ijtihad ، and to highlight its importance، currentness ، and impact on jurisprudential calamities according to one of the contemporary legal maqasid theorists ، Imam Muhammad al-Tahir Ibn Ashour.
