Abstract EN

this study aimed to identify the level of social competence among educational counselors working in public schools in Hebron Governorate.

The importance of the study lies in the fact that it is concerned with an important segment in the educational field, which is the educational counsellors, and in terms of providing information to researchers and counselors so that it enlightens them on the importance of the educational counselor enjoying social competence in his work, educators help them to develop social competence.

The researcher used the descriptive analytical method, and social competence was used to collect data, and its validity and reliability were verified by appropriate statistical methods.

The study population consisted of (252) male and female counselors, and the study was conducted on a random sample of (100) male and female counselors, and the results showed that the level of social competence among the educational counselors working in public schools in Hebron Governorate was high, and the results concluded that there were no significant differences.

Statistical averages of social competence among educational counselors in public schools in Hebron Governorate, due to the variables: gender, years of experience, educational qualification, and directorate.
