Abstract EN

This research paper reviews the most important rounds of Yemeni consultations and their results during 2015-2021 to clarify the internal and external obstacles that prevented their success.

the research problem focused on answering the following two related questions : What caused the Yemeni political consultations to falter without any positive progress? Were the external interventions in Yemen's political crisis a relief factor or a complicating factor? using the historical and descriptive-analytical approaches, as they are more appropriate to the subject and nature of the research.

the subject was dealt with in two sections: the first deals with the stages of consultations, while the second deals with the obstacles to consultations, in addition to a conclusion.

the research concluded: that the Yemeni talks under the auspices of the United Nations that permeated the ongoing conflict in Yemen since 2015 have failed to reach a comprehensive settlement of this conflict, which has caused a humanitarian catastrophe that is the worst in the world ; this is due to internal (political-military-economic- social) and regional obstacles (Saudi Arabia-UAE-Iran), as well as the conflicting position of the United Nations, specifically the division between the permanent member states (America-Britain-France-Russia-China), How to deal with this conflict.
