Abstract EN

This study deals with gender from an Islamic perspective – Sudan as an example.

the study aims to track the development of gender inclusion in Sudan at times when the voices of some human rights defenders and social activists as well as many organizations have risen to call for gender inclusion in Sudan.

the research uses the analytic descriptive method and observation as well as tracking the publications of the Sudanese media and the strategy adopted by the ministry of gender in Sudan.

the study includes two chapters; the first one deals with the definition of gender and the definition of vision, as well as gender and women, while the second chapter deals with gender from the perspective of the Quran and the Sunnah, in addition to defining sodomy literally and legally.

It also focuses on gender in Sudan.

the study also considers gender consultancy, its objectives, its strategies and its scope of work.

the study also deals with the homosexuality in sudan; its problems and treatment and how it is dealt with in the sudanese media.

the research concluded a number of results, most notably that the sudanese society adheres to the islamic values and morals and the inherited customs and traditions regarding the relations between men and women and, therefore, does not accept gender and the calls that contradict the social morals and the etiquette of sudanese families.

it recognizes the differences between men and women and recognizes the freedom of personal choice for the gender role and self-responsibility according to the religious and societal heritage.

among the most important recommendations is the need to preserve the bases of a moral life that the sudanese have known through their religious and cultural heritage, and through the inheritance of customs and traditions.

the study also recommends the importance of preserving social solidarity, public values, and protecting people’s individual chastity from the immorality that destroys societies.
