Abstract EN

The study dealt with the issue of the rights of producers of phonograms in Sudanese law and international conventions.

the importance of the study emerged in the great and important role that producers of phonograms play in publishing and preserving the authors’ literary and artistic works, and working to describe them as the beneficiary’s position, he reassured the Sudanese audio recording producers that there is a law system that protects and regulates their rights.

the study aimed to introduce the producer of audio recordings, and to clarify the financial rights enjoyed by producers of audio recordings in Sudanese law and international conventions.

the problem of the study was that Sudanese law did not include the definition and installation of audio recordings.

through modern digital methods by means of computers, the modernity of the Sudanese legislator’s regulation of the group of producers of phonograms and the organization of its legal provisions.

the study followed the descriptive analytical approach.

the study reached a number of results, the most important of which are : producers of phonograms in Sudanese law and international agreements enjoy financial rights only, the period of protection for the financial rights of producers of phonograms in Sudanese law and most comparative Arab legislation is fifty years.
