The research aims to shed light on the history of the development of the function of medicine through historical eras, while clarifying and highlighting the role of the function of medicine as the most important nucleus in society as it provides great human services, and this function helped the contribution of women to science and culture in general, and to take an influential role in the field of medicine.

Of this importance, this study comes to present this role through what is available from the historical texts found in the sources of Islamic heritage.

There is no doubt that women have made a clear contribution to the advancement of science in general and in the field of medicine in particular, and many names of women have shined in the field of modern science, literature, mysticism and even in political matters, and this in turn reveals the extent of the importance of women in Islamic civilization.

In the field of medicine, there are many historical texts and evidence that mention the role of women in providing medical aid and women's services in many aspects of daily life.

For Muslims, its medical practices have developed.

In addition to its role in war surgery, it has also contributed in the field of ophthalmology and ophthalmology.
