Abstract EN

This article aims to study the principle of considering the consequences of actions, which is a basic principle in various fields of jurisprudence.

The study helps create a set of jurisprudential principles upon which to base the provisions concerning emerging jurisprudential issues and fatwas.

It concludes that the Ijtihad (independent reasoning in deducing provisions) must be based on a set of regulations which ensure the proper implementation of Islamic provisions and the achievement of Islam's basic goals and objectives.

These regulations are manifested in the need to combine the jurisprudence of the purposes, the jurisprudence of reality and the jurisprudence of balance while taking into consideration certain or suspected outcomes as well as the circumstances that influence the provision.

For example, a woman during her Iddah period is allowed to take medication that can affect the length of her menstrual cycle if her medical condition requires that.

However, in normal situations with no medical necessity, the use of the same medication is not allowed in order to prevent harm and to preserve rights
