Abstract EN

This article aims to define the temporal ambiguities in the Holy Qur’an, stating the reasons for mentioning them in the Holy Qur’an.

It also aims to provide an applied detailed study of these ambiguities through the simple interpretation of Alwahidi, and clarifying and explaining his approach in stating such ambiguities.

the study employs the inductive approach, tracing temporal and spatial ambiguities, and extrapolating their interpretation, and the analytical approach represented in research, study, analysis, and balancing of the sayings that were identified by referring to the books of the interpreters.

it concludes with several findings including: Alwahidi’s simple interpretation has a high scientific status in the Interpretation Library, an important reference for specialists in interpretation.

the occurrence of ambiguity in the Holy Qur’an has reasons as stated by scholars.

Tracing Alwahidi’s ambiguities in his “Al-Basit” turns out that his dealings with such ambiguities results in the implementation of a number of foundations and clues such as looking at analogues from the verses in the Holy Qur’an.

it is also in looking at the Prophet Mohammed’s Companions’ sayings, more than quoting Ibn Abbas’s sayings, and looking at the meanings of the Qur’anic term when constructed in speech, indicating the difference between interpreters, if any.
