Abstract EN

This study aims to reveal the effectiveness of Scamper model in developing Scientific concepts and laboratory skills in the science subject among fourth grade students in the State of Kuwait.

The study sample consisted of 49 students, randomly divided into an experimental group of 24 students, who studied the 'light unit' according to the Scamper model, and a control group of 25 students, who studied the 'light unit' in the traditional way.

Two tests were built, the first in Scientific Concepts consisting of 25 questions.

The second is in laboratory skills consisting of 15 questions.

The 'light unit' for the fourth grade in the State of Kuwait was rebuilt according to the Scamper model, and the researcher secured the validity and reliability of the study tools.

Results revealed the effectiveness of the Scamper model in developing scientific skills and laboratory skills in the science subject for fourth grade students in the State of Kuwait.

The researcher recommended using the Scamper model in teaching science to fourth grade students.
