Abstract EN

The current study aims to identify the planning for crisis management facing education departments during the COVID-19 pandemic in the State of Kuwait from the teachers’ point of view.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive analytical approach was adopted.

The questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data from a sample of 150 male and female teachers in government secondary schools.

The study concluded that the actuality of crisis management planning in public schools in the State of Kuwait from the teachers’ point of view was of a high degree.

Results also revealed statistically significant differences between the means of the study sample responses that can be attributed to the gender variable in favor of females, and to the academic qualification variable in favor of PhD.

The current study recommended emphasizing the crisis management planning process, given its importance in avoiding crises and confronting emerging problems, and holding training sessions for raising awareness and skills on crisis management planning in the educational departments in the State of Kuwait.
