Abstract EN

The study was conducted in Iraq / Babil Governorate, and it aims to know the effect of the democratic points strategy on the achievement of fourth-grade literary students in literature and texts and the development of their mental alertness.

In the following variables: the chronological age of the students, the Arabic language subject scores for the previous academic year, and the Daniels intelligence test, the research sample consisted of (62) students, distributed as (32) students for the experimental group, and (30) students for the control group.

One of the researchers taught the two groups with the topics that were previously identified.

The researchers prepared an achievement test that measures the level of students’ achievement in literature and texts.

The validity and reliability of the tool were verified.

The test on the two research groups, the results showed that the students of the experimental group who studied using the democratic points strategy were superior to the students of the control group who studied in the traditional way in collecting literature and texts , The calculated T value amounted to (3.621), which is greater than the tabular T value of (2,000), which confirms the effect of teaching it in the traditional way , Keywords: Democratic points strategy, achievement, literature and texts, the fourth literary.
