Abstract EN

A 39-year-old male who had a history of an automobile accident 6 years earlier was admitted with an aneurysm of the descending thoracic aorta.

He had no knowledge of thoracic impact in this accident but had sustained a fracture of the left femur.

He underwent a successful 8 cm long Dacron graft anastomosis between the isthmus and the descending aorta.

Histopathology did not reveal any evidence of atherosclerosis.

The final diagnosis was chronic post traumatic aneurysm.
