Faith is considered one of the Fundamental elements which makes the handling of religious liberties an issue that is sensitive and raises more difficulties than any other issues, concerning human rights.

This issue gets more difficult when two internationally- protected principles contradict, namely liberty of religion or belief as one of the human rights and secularism as a value on which Arab countries rely.

The legislations, restricting religious liberties in France, in this respect, have caused a lot of debate and controversy, socially, politically and judicially, not only in France but also in Europe and internationally.

Attitudes, regarding this issue, differed and varied between legislative constitutions and human rights organizations.

Because of the importance of this topic, I am going to tackle it through focusing religions liberty in France under the principle of secularism and how convenient these restrictive legislations are to human rights principles.
