يعرف الوقف بأنه : حبس مال يمكن الانتفاع منه مع بقاء عينه بمنع التصرف في رقبته، و تصرف منافعه الى البر تقربا الى الله تعالى، و قد حظيت الأوقاف الحلية بنصيب وافر من الدور السكنية و الدكاكين و الخانات الموقوفة، و كذلك أوجه صرفها على خدمات الأوقاف الخيرية المتنوعة و كان للرجال و النساء نصيب مشترك من وقف هذه الدور و الأراضي و البساتين و الدكاكين و الوصاية بالأموال و حسبما ورد في الحجج الوقفية.
Abstract EN
The endowment is defined as: the confiscation of money that can be benefited from while remaining in its own right by preventing the disposal of its neck, and the disbursement of its benefits to righteousness in order to draw closer to God Almighty.
