The Daan peace treaty between Imam Yahya Muhammed Hamid and the othoman Empire had clear effect on the situations of Yemen 1911-1918.

It changed the relationship between the two sides from hostility and confrontation to peace and cooperation spreading security in Yemen to reduce the bad behavior of the ottoman officials against the Yamani people.

As the peace Came as a result of revolutions carried out by Imam Yahya against the ottomans for their mismanagement in political, economic and social affairs in Yemen.

According to the peace treaty , the imam obtained autonomy in northern Yemen and anew stage began in the history of friendly relations between the two sides He maintained security and stability in most parts of Yemen He was committed to providing assistance to ottoman Empire and standing by its side against foreign countries , especially Britain in the First World War , In the Asir region Muhammad al Idrisi led his struggl against the Ottomans and established the Idrisid Emirat there , which the ottomans and Imam Yahya resisted.
