The importance of this study, entitled "The philosopher Yitzhak bin Imran Al-Sarmari and his contributions to the mental sciences" is that it sheds light on the personality of this creative philosopher, who was able through his scientific career to contribute to the establishment of the first philosophical school in the Maghreb, specifically in the city of Kairouan, where he left at the invitation of its prince, Ziyadat Allah Ibn al-Aghlab, and there he disseminated the sciences of philosophy and medicine, and scholars and doctors heard from him.

He made me choose him as a subject of research that sheds light on him and his contributions, as well as an explanation of his biography, his writings, and the sayings of scholars about him.
