Abstract EN

This study aimed to standardize the bermond-forst alexithymia scale among high school students in Al-Qunfudhah Governorate, by identifying the significance of the validity of the scale, and identifying the value and significance level of the correlation coefficient between each item of the questionnaire and the dimension to which it belongs, and identifying the significance of the stability of the bermond scale.

and the value of the stability coefficients calculated according to the half segmentation method and the method of re-applying the scale, and identifying the statistically significant differences in the responses of the sample members according to demographic variables.

the results of the study were as follows : it was found that there is a difference in the estimates of the study sample members about the scale items due to the gender variable in favor of the female students, while there is no difference in the estimates of the study sample members about the scale items due to the variable of the class, and there is a difference in the the estimations of the study sample members about the items of the scale due to the variable of specialization in favor of the literary students.

the study also reached several recommendations, the most important of which were : the necessity of using the scale prepared in the current study by researchers and those interested; because of its good psychometric properties, and benefiting from the results of the study in psychological counseling programs using social networking sites, and working to build other measures that include other factors such as : political factors, sports, and others.
