The city of Najaf, like other cities, is affected by industrial facilities and the environmental impact they have.

For this reason, the research included an environmental study of the impact of industrial neighborhood waste on the soil of the city of Najaf, and relied on field monitoring in the study sites and laboratory analysis by transferring samples to specialized laboratories for the purpose of analysis, for the period (January – July 2021 ) and the following became clear: Through the results of the laboratory analysis of soil samples, there is a spatial and temporal variation in the concentrations of (PH) and heavy elements, as 10 sites were selected.

And the sites ( 4,5, 6) in the industrial district of Aden, soil affected by the residues of Al-Kashi, soil affected by the residues of aluminum factories, and soil affected by the residues of salt factories, respectively.

And the sites ( 7,8,9) in the southern industrial district, soil affected by scrap residues, soil affected by oil residues, and soil affected by various residues, respectively, and the tenth site was (a reference area site).
