جمعت ثمار نبات اليانسون (الفصيلة الخيمية) من ثلاث مناطق مختلفة في سورية : منطقة كناكر (جبل الشيخ) و منطقة سهل الغاب (محافظة حماة) و منطقة الرستن (محافظة حمص)، و جرى استخلاص الزيت الطيار منها بالتقطير المائي باستخدام جهاز كليفنجر، حيث بلغت النسبة المئوية للزيت الطيار 6.1%، 2.8%، 2.2% لمناطق كناكر و سهل الغاب و حمص، على الترتيب.
تم تحديد التركيب الكيميائي للزيت الطيار المستخلص من ثمار اليانسون باستخدام جهاز الكروماتوغرافيا الغازية المتصل بمقياس طيف الكتلة GC/MS.
ثمرة احتوى الزيت الطيار المستخلص من ثمار اليانسون لمنطقة كناكر على 11 مكونا تشكل نسبة 99.96% من المجموع الكلي لمكونات الزيت الطيار، أما الزيت الطيار المستخلص من ثمار اليانسون المجموعة من منطقة سهل الغاب فتحوي على 8 مكونات تشكل نسبة 99.97% من المجموع الكلي لمكونات الزيت الطيار.
كما يحتوي الزيت الطيار المستخلص من ثمار اليانسون المجموعة من منطقة الرستن على 10 مكونات تشكل نسبة 99.96% من المجموع الكلي لمكونات الزيت الطيار.
و المكونات الرئيسية في العينات الثلاث هي التالية، مع بعض الاختلاف في نسبها المئوية.

Fruits of pimpinella anisum (L) plant, collected from three different regions of Syria : Kanaker, Sahl al gab and Al Rastan, and the volatile oil extracted by hydrodistillation using the clevenger apparatus, where the percentage of volatile oil was 6.1%, 2.8%, 2.2% for Kanaker, Sahl al gab and Homs, respectively.
the Chemical composition of volatile oil obtained from fruits of Pimpinella anisum was analyzed by GC/MS.
the volatile oil of the Kanaker area contains 11 components, accounting for 99.96% of the total volatile oil components, and the volatile oil of the Sahl al gab area contains 8 components, accounting for 99.97% of the total volatile oil components.
the volatile oil of the Al Rastan area contains 10 components, accounting for 99.96% of the total volatile oil components.
the main components in the three samples with some differences in their percentage are : methyl chavicol, anethole, gamma-himachalene, beta-bisabolene, iso eugenol and epoxy pseudo isoeugenol.
