Abstract EN

The current study aimed to study the impact of the Corona pandemic on the motivation for self-learning in electronic learning environments for students of the preparatory year at the University of Hail from their point of view, as well as to identify the differences between the responses of the study sample members about the differences between (males and females), the academic level (first/ second), the academic specialization (scientific/ human/ health) and to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher designed a questionnaire that came in (6) axes, and the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach, and after ensuring the validity and reliability of the questionnaire, it was applied to the study sample, which amounted to (300) students in the preparatory year The study concluded that the Corona pandemic did not affect the motivation for self-learning in the e-learning environments of the research sample students, and the most important factors that affected the motivation for self learning in the e-learning environment during the COVID-19 pandemic were revealed as follows: (The e-learning environment, the value of the e-course, expectations of success, demand for activity, perseverance, and completion of tasks), as it was found that there were no statistically significant differences between males and females in the motivation of self-learning in the e-learning environments.

The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences attributable to the study variable (first/second) and the absence of statistically significant differences between the academic specialization (scientific/humanitarian/health) in self-learning motivation in e-learning environments.
