Abstract EN

Surat Al-A'raf is one of the long chapters in the Holy Qur'an, and its verses are (206) two hundred and six verses.

This surah focused on divine knowledge, including argument and proof, and mentioned the stories of the prophets (peace be upon them), and reminded of the principle, the date, preaching and guidance.

Among the rhetorical aspects, the surah included The Qur'anic metaphor contains many of the characteristics and features of the Qur'anic metaphor, including the elements of sense, elements of beauty and good imagery, as it highlights the spoken meaning in an attractive and bewitching way, embodies the meaning and personifies it, and refines the sense of choosing words to be templates for these metaphors and the systems they contain, which is an aesthetic element of the Qur'anic metaphor and what is related to the sentence that I rode in it.

This study comes as an application for what it highlights from the graphical aspects of Surat Al-A'raf, as it focused on the elements and pillars of metaphor and its divisions, from the borrowed to it, the borrowed from it and the (combining between them), and what it includes from the declarative, potential, imaginary and real metaphor sections at times and in a manner that suits one of the two sides of the metaphor (abstract, absolute and filtered).

The study showed the Qur'anic verses in which Surat Al-A'raf and what this surah contains of metaphor in its folds, conditions and provisions., and concluded at its conclusion that the theoretical and applied metaphor aims primarily at clarifying the meaning and revealing the idea, and the difference between metaphor and simile, and that the metaphor is an analogy of deleting one of its ends and a tool of likeness.

The study also led to clarifying the positions and opinions of scholars and rhetoricians in the Noble Qur'an and rhetorical arts, especially scholars of rhetoric.
