Abstract EN

The aim of the current research is to identify:- 1) The level of achievement motivation for students of the Departments of Life Sciences at the University of Diyala.

2) Statistical differences in the level of achievement motivation for students according to the gender variable.

To achieve the goal of the research, the researcher prepared a measure of motivation, which included (42) items, and the psychometric characteristics of honesty and stability were extracted.

With a proportional distribution in the selection of students, the sample members amounted to (257) male and female students.

After processing the data statistically, the results showed the following: 1) Students of the fourth stage of life sciences departments at the University of Diyala possess an achievement motive.

2) There are statistically significant differences in achievement motivation due to the gender variable and in favor of females.
