Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify the family functional disability and self-disability among students in the preparatory stage, as well as to identify the significance of the difference in the family functional disability and self-disability according to the gender variable (male - female).

The number of its paragraphs in its final form after verifying the psychometric characteristics is (23) paragraphs, and we have adopted the self-disability scale (Al-Shatti: 1999), which reaches the number of its paragraphs in its final form after verifying the psychometric characteristics (20) and then the researchers applied the scale to the basic research sample, which amounted to (250) ) of students from preparatory schools in Karbala governorate (males - females) were randomly selected from the center’s schools for the academic year 2020/2021, and the results showed the following:1.The male and female research community are characterized by the concept of family functional disability and self-disability.2.The value of the correlation coefficient between family functional disability and self-disability is a direct function relationship for the sample as a whole or according to gender.
