يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة أثر الملكية المؤسسية على الاحتفاظ بالنقدية في السوق المصري.
و قد استخدم البحث بيانات عينة من 46 شركة مدرجة في البورصة المصرية و خاصة (EGX 50) من خلال 12 قطاعا رئيسيا (العقارات، الأغذية و المشروبات، التشييد و مواد البناء، الكيماويات، السياحة و الترفيه، الموارد الأساسية، المنتجات الشخصية و المنزلية، الرعاية الصحية و الأدوية، الإعلام، النفط و الغاز، السفر، و السلع الرأسمالية) لفترة 8 سنوات من 2014 إلى 2021.
و قد استخدمت الدراسة نموذج الانحدار لاختبار فرضية البحث حيث كشفت نتائج الدراسة أن الملكية المؤسسية لها تأثير معنوي طردي على الاحتفاظ بالنقدية لدى الشركات.
بعبارة أخرى، تحتفظ الشركات ذات النسبة العالية من المستثمرين المؤسسيين بمزيد من النقدية.
Abstract EN
This research aims to investigate the impact of institutional ownership on corporate cash holdings in the Egyptian context.
The research uses data from a sample of 46 listed companies on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, especially (EGX 50) from 12 main sectors (real estate, food and beverage, construction material, chemicals, tourism, basic resources, personal and household, health care, media, oil and gas, travel, and capital goods) for eight years’ period from 2014 to 2021.
The study uses a panel linear regression model to test the research hypothesis.
The findings revealed that institutional ownership seemed to have a significant positive influence on corporate cash holdings.
In other words, firms with greater institutional investors are likely to hold more cash.
