Abstract EN

The current research aims to know the effect of ""Kegan's structures"" on the achievement of Arabic grammar for first intermediate grade students.

The researcher adopted the experimental method because it is the most appropriate method for the nature of the current research.

The researcher chose the experimental design with partial control because it is the appropriate design for the research objective, which consists of two groups: The experimental group: the group that is taught according to the structures of Keegan.

The control group: the group that is taught in the traditional way.The current research community is one of the day-medium schools for male students affiliated to the General Directorate of Education in the third province of Baghdad, Al-Rusafa for the academic year 2021/2022.

) students, (35) students in each of the experimental and control groups.

The researcher conducted an equivalence between the students of the two groups of chronological age calculated by searching in several variables (chronological age, previous knowledge, previous achievement in Arabic grammar, and academic achievement for fathers and mothers)The researcher prepared a test to measure the level of students' achievement after the end of the experiment, as the test consisted of (30) test items, and the researcher made sure of its charity after presenting it to a group of experts, arbitrators, and some of the teachers of the Arabic language.To analyze the results, the researchers used the following statistical methods: (T-test for two independent samples, the equation of the difficulty coefficient of the test paragraphs, the equation for the effectiveness of wrong alternatives, the alpha-Kornbach equation, the Cooper equation).The results of the research showed that the arithmetic mean of the total scores obtained by the members of the experimental group that was studied using Keegan structures (31.7), which is higher than the arithmetic mean of the control group, and the variance reached (30.2), while the control group obtained an arithmetic mean of (25.6) and variance (40.9).

By applying the t-test equation for two independent samples, the calculated t-value reached (4.1), which is greater than the tabulated value of (2) at the level of significance (0.05) and at the degree of freedom (64), and the research ended with a set of recommendations and suggestions.
