Abstract EN

The aim of the research is to identify the effect of the cube strategy on the programming of first-stage students of the college of engineering, department of computers, for mathematical equations in c language.

the sample consisted of (67) male and female students from the first stage, who were chosen by the intentional method from the university of mosul, college of engineering, computer department for the academic year (2018-2019).

after that, the researcher distributed the sample members randomly into two equal groups in a number of variables (age in months, computer subject in the preparatory stage or not, students' branch biological or applied).

the cube, and the second control, and the number of her students was (32) male and female students who studied the same subject according to the usual method.

the researcher herself taught the two research groups for the first semester according to the pre-prepared teaching plans.

to achieve the goal of the research and test its hypotheses, the researcher prepared an achievement test for programming mathematical equations in c, an objective of the multiple choice type.

it consists of (15) paragraphs, and the researcher has verified its validity, stability, and the discriminating power of its paragraphs.

after that, the researcher applied her experiment in the laboratory, starting from the first semester on (13/11/2018), with one class, three hours per week, for each section, and the experiment ended on tuesday (1/8/2019).

after that, the search tool was applied to the sample members on thursday (10/1/2019).

data collection and statistical analysis was applied to the t-test for two independent samples (t-test) of unequal number.

the results indicated the following : 1- there is no statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average achievement of the experimental and control groups at the level of remembering.

2- there is a statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average achievement of the experimental and control group members at the level of comprehension, application, analysis, analysis and testing as a whole in favor of the experimental one separately.

in light of the results, the researcher came out with a number of conclusions, including : the possibility of applying the cube strategy in computer subject.

the researcher also recommended directing computer teachers to adopt modem strategies in teaching, and to use them in programming mathematical equations.
