Abstract EN

The current research aims to evaluate the performance of social studies teachers in the light of effective teaching skills.

The research sample consisted of teachers of social sciences and its female teachers in Nineveh Governorate, who numbered (30) male and female teachers, were chosen by a simple stratified random method for the academic year (2021/2022), and to achieve the goal of Research and answering its questions The researcher prepared a questionnaire (note card) which in its final form consisted of (25) paragraphs distributed into (5) areas : (Determining and formulating educational and behavioral objectives, lesson planning, preparation for the lesson, feedback, final evaluation) after making sure of its validity and stability, and after applying the tool, collecting data and analyzing it statistically using (t-test) The results indicated a weakness in the level of teachers' possession The sociology subject and its female teachers for effective teaching skills, and the results indicated that there was statistically significant difference between the social studies teachers and their female teachers according to the gender variable for the sake of women.

In the light of the results above, the researcher set number of canclusions, recommendations and suggestions.
