Abstract EN

This research aims to know the effect of the interconnected word strategy on the reading comprehension of the fifth grade students in Arabic reading.

and to achieve the goal of the research, the researcher followed the procedures of the experimental approach.

the researcher chosen randomly the 6th of january primary for girls, the fifth grade of primary school consists of two divisions : section (a) to represent the experimental group that is taught according to the interconnected word strategy, and section (b) to represent the control group that is taught according to the usual method.the researcher prepared a final test as a tool for her research (el-azergawi : 2014) the researcher used the following statistical methods : (t-test for two independent samples, and pearson correlation coefficient).

after analyzing the results statistically, the researcher concluded that there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the average scores of the students of the two research groups in the reading comprehension test, in favor of the experimental group, and through the result reached by the researcher, a number of recommendations and suggestions were presented.
